Solo Contest

This is a contest that I did. I sang an italian song called Tu Lo Sai. The song is on youtube (but I'm not the one singing it on youtube). It's really pretty. Solo contest is where you go into a room with a judge and you sing a song. They write down on a paper what they thought. Including things to fix and things they like. Then the judge rates you 1-5 5 being the worst and 1 being the best. In order to continue unto a state level you have to get a one. I got a 1. So I was able to go to state. I then got my ratings back and had a 1!!! I was very happy. It's pretty hard. But it was way fun and totally worth it!!(:

TAYLOR'S SPECIAL DAY!!(:

WOOT Taylor is now 19!! Happy Birthday. To celebrate his special day in March, we went to breakfast at Ihop(:

One of the many adventures....(:

SNOW!!

Everybody loves snow.... For a while....(:

All-State choir!

All-State choir is an amazing thing! Why in fact, if you make it three years in a row you get a special award, and if you make it all through highschool then usually you have a better chance of scholarships! But All-State choir is a choir, with all the state of Oklahoma (or any state...)! People come from all over to audition on songs that they were given in advance. You are given a cut time and then you perform behind a curtain to some judges. We had 3 pieces that we needed to know. If you make it past the first round then you go to second round, where you do the process again but with different cut times. If you make it. Which is pretty lucky, you then are given more music 5-6 songs to learn. You then go to a hotel and sing in a small group (2 soprano 1's, 2 soprano 2's, 2 alto 1's, 2 alto 2's) and you preform parts of the song. If you don't know the music you are sent home. Then for the next 2 days. You practice like CRAZY!! Like 5 hours and then a break for lunch, and then another 5 hours.  But you get to stay at nice hotels and stuff too! Then on the third day, you go to a church or something like that where you perform.  It is a lot of fun! But it sure makes you tired(: I hope I make it next year!!

Catch up.

With all the things happening around here who has time to blog? Well I guess today is that day. Here are many of the quite adventurous happenings since January...
1. Whitney is now married.
2. My birthday
3. All-State choir
*This is a choir that you audition for, it's REALLY hard to get into, and I made it!(:
4. We got LOTS of snow (I didn't get any pictures from when we have 36 in.)
5. Park season!!:D
6. For Taylor's birthday we went to Ihop with Kori, his amazing girlfriend from Kentucky.
7. Solo ensemble contest (Which I got a one in!!!!!!!)
Yeah... pictures to follow shortly(:

Now looking at this list, it doesn't seem like too much. But with all the other things that are being juggled around (like my mom being on a diet, and working out ALL the time!) plus school, and making most of the dinners (us older kids take turns) It does alleviate my mothers stress but can definitely add to our load. Now that Easter is here, we are having some of my Mom's side come in. It will be fun for the little kids! Oh Easter. It is such a wonderful joy(:
