First bath

Gabe had his first bath today(: I made mom promise not to do it without me, so he didn't get it as early as he should have. He liked it! He didn't cry or get fussy at all. All the little kids were very excited to see it.

Date time!

We went on a HUGE group date! We carpooled to a mini golfing place in Tulsa and played it up(:

After Mini golfing we grabbed some jamba juice and headed home. It was fun (even though it was HOT) We all enjoyed hanging out together.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to the two Courts! On top of being the only two people we've met who have the same name, their birthdays are super close together! Court H. is on the 23 and Court L. the 28th. Court H. turned 30! While our Court turned 22! Happy Birthday, we love you guys!

Real men grill

Real men grill. It seems like a legitimate saying in our house. Since with the men the grill always is chosen before the oven. But apparently it's a group effort to grill?

Youth Conference

This years youth conference was smaller than the ones I had been to before. It was just our stake. Though it was small, it was very nice. The theme was a covenant making people. It turned out quite nicely I thought. It was Caden's first year, and it was weird to me, I just can't get over how old he is getting! Court and I rocked the DJ-ing for the 2 dances(:

Saturday we had our service project then a testimony meeting. But in between the two we all took like 5 minutes and wrote down a covenant we were going to make with the Lord. Then we went outside and buried them, it was really neat!

2 weeks old

Bath time!

Easton came over while we had Addie and Cable in the bath. He is a man who is not normally excited about the bath. Usually he gets quite mad when it's time to wash up. But seeing his two favorite friends/ playmates in the tub totally changed his mind (at least while they were in the tub...) All he wanted to do was climb in with them! It was fun adventure for all three of them.

Mini Mom

Since mom had Gabe I have taken things up a notch a home because she isn't supposed to do anything. So today, I decided to do more than the regular keep the house clean, kids dressed and fed. I made homemade bread ALONE, and not just normal homemade bread, but the cinnamon and sugar kind! I had never attempted it without my mom by my side... and I expected much more of a disaster. It turned out quite well. Not as delicious as mom's, by any means, but good enough that most of the bread was gone 2 days later.

Doctor's office

One of the requirements for mom to be home was that the next day she had to take Gabe to the doctor to check him up for a certain fatal sickness. So here she is getting ready to go.

Gabe has a love to suck. I know that it is partly a newborn baby thing- but he sucks a lot! He is ALWAYS sucking his fingers and whatever he can. He was not super happy in the car seat so mom decided to try him on a pacifier and of course he loved it. It will be used sparingly of course(;

Getting Comfy

First time in his bed. I don't know about you but he looks pretty comfy to me. (:

Gabriel

One of the collages is when mom was filing his little fingers. The other is just of Gabriel. 

Cable is very cute with Gabe. He gets a little nervous about holding him because he is afraid that he will hurt Gabriel. But Cable has some of the cutest one liners. Cable was sitting next to mom holding Gabe and he looks at mom and says, "Everything in my body feels good when I hold a baby." That is so true Cable. How can something straight from Heaven NOT feel good? 

Welcome Home(:

Mom and the little man were able to come home today. Everyone was glad that we could all be together again. It's amazing how much the house changes with a new little piece of Heaven here. The reunion was a warm and exciting one. That's not to say that it wasn't missing the loud voices of kids wanting to hold him and what not. The house was blitzed before mom got home, and we all drew pictures and put them on the end of the strings tied to helium balloons. We then placed them all around her room- it was quite a success, in Mom's reaction and the younger kids entertainment.

Along with coming home a name was given to this piece of Heaven. Gabriel Grieman Lykins. Since mom found out this was a boy she felt he needed a name that was more than just cool. He was her angel. When she first heard the name Gabriel it was very early on in her pregnancy and she has kept it (obviously). The name Gabriel actually means "God is my strength" and both my parents found this very fitting. Grieman was a very interesting find! While in the hospital my parents were looking through the genealogy looking for names as well. When they fell upon and Therese Grieman (this is on my mother's line). She was like my mom's great, great, great, grandmother. She (Therese Grieman) had in fact married a Grieman. As soon as the heard the name they knew it was the right one. I will definitely be looking into the Grieman line(: 

Welcome home mom and Gabe!

Welcoming number 10!

He is finally here! At 11:40 PM on Monday Mom and Dad left for the hospital. She was not induced he came at 5:47 AM. He doesn't have a name yet, and is the biggest baby Mom has ever delivered at a whopping 8 1/2 lbs and 21 inches. Everyone is very excited that he is here and everything went smoothly.

As you know, my mom is being induced tomorrow. A lady in our ward really wanted to help out and so for a FHE dessert she brought over a big box that we weren't aloud to look into. When we finally did it was all the things that everyone loves when eating ice cream! She gave us waffle cones, waffle bowls, every topping imaginable in little bags and labeled, Carmel topping, chocolate topping, and maraschino cherries, and of course whipping cream. Thank you Sister Hixon we are all very grateful(:

The Many faces of Easton

Kori was taking some pictures of Easton, and it was amazing to see how many expressions he had. He just keeps getting bigger!

He's got it!

After much trial and error the little man has finally figured it out, he can crawl. He is slowing getting faster, and at first he didn't realize how useful this new found skill could be. But those thoughts are slowly drifting away has he crawls more and more and faster and faster. The only problem now is how much trouble can an 8 1/2 month old get into?

On another note, The baby is STILL not here. My parents went to her appointment yesterday and the risks are getting greater the bigger this baby gets. With much thought, it has been decided that mom will get induced on Tuesday the 17th if the baby doesn't come before then on his own. The risks are just too high. My parents feel this is the right decision. Soon that bundle of joy will be home with us(:

Bubba

Easton is the kinda guy who goes from happy to sad in 0 seconds. He is quite often unhappy, but has spurts where his smile is just as big as can be. Today was on of those days! He was just having just a blast playing with Travis, and visa versa.

Happy Birthday Kori!

Today was Kori's birthday. So we had a celebration! Court Hansen made her favorite dessert, Fruit tart..? It was a sugar cookie crust, cream cheese frosting and fruit on top. Definitely a big hit! She loves anything buffalo chicken, so of course everything for dinner was something buffalo chicken (except for the salad) We sang to her about 50 different times just like on any birthday. Here are a few we do:
- Whale (this is a favorite and we ALWAYS do this one right after the regular way)
- Race car
- Robot
- Sad
- Quiet
- Opera (another favorite)
- Under water
- Like Easton (basically we all just cry to the tune of Happy Birthday-  normally we never make through the whole song singing/crying this way...)

Happy Birthday Kori(:

Woah

Kori's brother Beau (pronounced bow) came for a visit during the week of the 4th and since he wasn't going to be here on Kori's birthday they plotted for a surprise attack on her. Beau kidnapped Taylor, and in order to save him, Kori (batwoman) had to find all the avengers (we did Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, and Spiderman) each had a piece of her armor, and a piece of map that would lead her to her fiance. Here was the catch: The avengers' minds had been wiped. So in order to get the piece of map and armor, she had to solve a riddle which would tell which avenger it was. The final thing she had to do was beat the main bad guy (her brother) the notorious RB. 

It was a hit and quite a wonderful surprise. We all got to take part.

Of course once it was all over, everyone had to try on the armor. And yes, we did just mix DC comics with Marvel Comics.

Usually I go and babysit E-man so that Whitney can go to the gym with my Mom (I know, she goes while she is pregnant... Crazy!!) Today, Cable and Adds, came with me. It was quite an adventure with them, and Chubba Loves definitely was happy to see them as well.
