FHE at Lowes Airsports

For FHE we went to Lowes Airsports. It is like a big gymnastics gym. There are multiple foam pits, a rock wall that lets you fall backwards into a foam pit. They have a trapeze, a tight-rope, trampolines the works. It was pretty fun! I am not very flexible, nor am I very brave, but it was still pretty cool. It was awesome to watch Nicole do her stuff, she showed us some of her favorite things to do on the floor, and was just basically having the time of her life! haha

Banana Bread

Nicole has a homemade banana recipe that she used that tasted SOOOO good. So the next time we went to the grocery store, I bought the bananas that looked like they were almost ready to be made into banana bread, and by Sunday they were. It was my first time making banana bread and it turned out wonderfully! The bread was gone by Wednesday. I would say, I am DEFINITELY going to be making more banana bread this semester (:

Freshman Half-Time Show at the Wall

We went this free Freshman activity at The Wall. It was pretty cool! There was a thing you could spin for prizes, I won a gift certificate, and then they had a magic show a comedy show which were both super fun to watch!

Afterwards though, Katelyn and I decided to try and eat a dessert and fries at the wall, so we ordered a Belgium waffle which came with strawberries, nutella on top and vanilla ice-cream on the side. It was super yummy, plus neither of us had eaten their before, so it was a new experience. However, we both forgot to take a picture of the dessert beforehand, so I only got the remains.

Hula Hoop Skillz

Jackie is part of this Native American Club, and one the things that they are doing is showing the students how to do hula hoop dancing, which they will perform at the end of the semester. So she was showing us some of the things she was learning. It was really fun to watch, and really fun to try (:

chalkboard!

We were brainstorming ideas of how to better decorate the apartment when Nicole came across these removable chalk board pieces on Amazon, they weren't too expensive so we thought we'd give them a try.... well they finally got here today!

They did set up really nicely and added a little something to the room. However the chalkboard is really easily scratched, so we all have to be really careful what how we write on it. Nonetheless we are all excited that it is here (:

Divine Comedy!

We went to Divine Comedy, it was so much fun! They were really funny and it was altogether just a super awesome experience!

Grasshopper Cookies and Hot Chocolate!

My sister taught me a super neat trick with grasshopper cookies and hot chocolate that I was able to teach to my roommates at like 11 PM. You freeze grasshopper cookies (they are the mint cookies made by keebler) and then you take a small bite of one side, and on the exact opposite side you bite another small spot. Then you put on of the bitten parts of the cookie in the Hot Chocolate and with the other bitten side you suck as if the cookie was a straw. The affect is the coolest thing ever! The cookie not only acts as a sort of straw allowing you to suck up hot chocolate through it, but it also acts as a sort of sponge. So after a certain point, you put the cookie in your mouth and it melts/explodes with a chocolatey mint deliciousness that is begging you to go back for more.

This was at least the effect that was had this evening as we all enjoyed the mint hot chocolateyness of Grasshopper cookies and hot chocolate (: We enjoyed it so much that I didn't get any pictures of the actual event, just some empty mugs and the leftover cookies which will be saved for another day.

First day of February

Nicole had been in the mood to make homemade biscuits and gravy for the longest time, so this morning she made them! Then we had an awesome breakfast, and decided we should do this kind of stuff more often. Haha

That afternoon we mostly just worked on homework, but at 7:30 we went and saw Swan Lake. I had never been to a ballet before, so it was really awesome to get to see one! I was impressed with all the costumes and it was a very beautiful set, but It was not life changing or anything. It was enjoyable though!
