Gabe's New Car Seat!

Dave bought a new car seat for mom as a surprise. She hasn't wanted to spend the money, since things are so tight, so Gabe has been staying in his rear facing one.

Dave decided to take matters into his own hands, and went and surprised her with one. It has been such an amazing blessing and even Gabe loves it!

Tate in California

Tate was able to send us some pictures and tell us a little about where he is at.

He and his companion are staying in a 4 bedroom house. There are supposed to be another companionship in the house, but as of right now it is only Tate and his companion.

Tate's area is one of the last areas to use bikes. Thankfully, a ward member gave Tate a bike that is in great shape! So that was a blessing for us that we don't have to buy him one- especially if he wasn't going to have to use it that much.

Most of the grapes that we get are harvested in Tate's area. Since it's harvesting season, people give the missionaries lots of grapes.. he says they are fantastic!

Another fact about where he is at. There are 3 prisons surrounding him, and most of the gangs from LA come to this part of CA to do all their "business".

Apparently the ward isn't super active, only 32 out of like 300 actually are attend church. Tate is excited to get to work!

There is no better way to end this than what Tate says, "Marchamos victoria!"

Our "Date"

Kylee was asked by the Stake President to get a bunch of youth from all around the stake together to do a group date. The idea is that it will encourage healthy group dating. Naturally she asks me to help her plan it. So after a couple of weeks working out the who/whats/when/where we got this Date put together.

It turned out really well! We made homemade pizza's and then just played games and messed around.

Gabriel!

I tried to get some pictures of Gabriel. Kind of like 1-year-old pictures... even though it's a little past his first birthday (July 17th). It is so crazy to see how much he as grown! I remember the day mom told me she was pregnant. I remember getting ready to meet him for the first time and wondering who he would look like, how he would feel. His personally has become much more known to us since then and I am grateful for this little cutie. I could never imagine my life without him (:
