Finally some scriptures!

A tradition in our house is that once you turn 8, you are given your very own set of scriptures. Since we've been out of a job scriptures were just too expensive to buy. We did have an extra scripture case lying around though.

So poor Cable get special pens and his Duty to God book, and placed them in this extra scripture case. He then proceeded to show everyone around his scripture case and how it was all ready for when he got his own scriptures. He wasn't upset about not having scriptures, he was mad, he was just really excited for the day when he would get some and wanted to make sure everything was ready for when he did.

A family we know came to visit us and when they found saw his case and how excited he was, they couldn't help themselves but buy him some. Cable was extremely excited and is very grateful to now have scriptures to go with his scripture case!

General Conference

This past weekend we were able to watch General Conference. I always love General Conference and it is so nice to be all together. Who knows how long we can all still come under the same roof to watch it? I mean, this was probably either Tate's last or 2nd to last Conference with us. Court and Whit won't always be so close. I will leave for college. So it was really nice just to enjoy this time together (: We all enjoyed the 2 days of listening to True Prophets of God and just being together!

Prom Dress Shopping

Today Mom, Whitney, Kori, Addie, McCoy, Gabriel and I went shopping to try and find a prom dress for me.

It was really fun to go out together, but we ended up not buying anything.

Later that evening Kori pulled out some dresses that she found upstairs hidden somewhere. We decided to use one of those dresses. It was such a testimony to me that the Lord cares about the little things. We didn't want to spend a lot of money on a prom dress and in our prayers we prayed we would be able to find something for as little money as possible, and he answered our prayers. He gave us the miracle dress.

Even though we ended up not getting anything it was still fun to go out!

Headbands

Easton really loves headbands. Anytime he finds one he quickly inquires of someone to put it on his head. Addie tried to put a headband in her hair, and Easton instantly wanted to try it. The only way Addie could get it back was to trade him for another headband..

What a funny guy (: haha.

Easter was a great day. Mom and Dad gave amazing talks at church too. Easter is also a reminder of how if we will remember our Savior, everyday can kinda be like Easter (: For dinner we had about 25 people (maybe more...) It was still really calm and relaxed. Happy Easter!!
