Surprise, surprise, surprise

Today I snuck out with Whitney, Easton and Mac to get Gabe some presents for his 1st birthday. Since money is tight mom didn't want to get him anything. So I decided to surprise her by buying them with so.
me spare cash that I have.

Whitney and I both thought the gifts we got were cute. I would say mission accomplished.

More swimming!

We go swimming about everyday at Brother Davies house (he is an older gentleman in our ward who LOVES when people swim in his pool) 

Today I thought I would take a couple of pictures. I only took a few, but lets face it, how many of us would rather be taking pictures in 100 degree weather when you can sit in the pool?? 

Mini Rocking Chair

Caden went up to clean up in the attic and brought down a mini sized wooden rocking chair. We have had it for as long as I can remember- in fact I remember when I would sit in it!

We showed Easton and he absolutely LOVED it! He thought it was the greatest thing! He rocked it and played in it, and he wouldn't let anyone touch it.

It was weird to think, "I used to fit in that thing?"

Washing the Car!

Today I got Addie, Cable, and Easton outside to wash the Highlander. It was SUPER dirty!! It looked way better afterwards, although not great....

Addie and Cable spent most of the time playing in the hose- which Easton was deathly afraid of; he wouldn't go near it! I guess I did most of the "washing the car" part of the expedition, although we all still had tons of fun!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Fourth from the Lykins house! The day was wonderful. We are an American family first eating hamburgers and hotdogs with homemade root beer and then enjoying Indiana Jones beat up the Nazis. Throw some card tricks, yelling kids, and lots of sarcasm and jokes - and you can basically imagine that you were there!

Noah is 2 months

Noah is getting bigger! He is now 2 months old! He is a pretty tall baby, and is fat too. His face instantly lights up when he sees is mom or dad (Kori or Taylor) and sometimes if you talk to him he will smile and talk to you back.

Sandal Tan

Dad has these sandals that he walks in, and he walks ALL THE TIME.

Easton has sandals that he wears everyday, even to church!

Whenever Dad is outside he wears his sandals.

Easton is always outside in his sandals.

They both now have the same tan.
